Step 6: Wall Anchoring
IMPORTANT: Attach the anti-tip wall anchoring kit to the back of the changing table and securely fasten it to a wall stud. This step is critical for safety and prevents the unit from tipping over.
Operating Instructions
Using the Changing Surface
- Place a suitable changing pad (not included) on the changing surface.
- Always keep one hand on your baby while changing to prevent falls.
- Keep all necessary changing supplies (diapers, wipes, creams) within easy reach but out of the baby's grasp.
Using the Drawers and Shelves
- The three drawers provide ample space for storing baby clothes, blankets, and other essentials.
- The open shelves are ideal for frequently used items or decorative elements.
- Distribute weight evenly in drawers and on shelves to maintain stability.
Converting to a Dresser
Once your child no longer requires a changing table, the changing top can be removed. Carefully detach the changing top from the main dresser unit by reversing the assembly steps for that component. This transforms the unit into a standard chest of drawers for continued use.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the melamine finish.
- Spills: Clean up spills immediately to prevent staining or damage to the wood particle board.
- Hardware: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and fasteners to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
- Environment: Avoid placing the changing table in direct sunlight or near heat sources to prevent warping or discoloration.
