Setup and Installation

The Pixelman HD Backup Camera offers two primary installation methods to suit your vehicle's needs: license plate mounting or hidden surface mounting. Ensure your car screen has an RCA connector for compatibility.

Compatibility Notice:

This camera is only suitable for car screens with an RCA connector. It is NOT compatible with dash cams, mirror cams, or GPS units that do not have an RCA video input.

Installation Options:

• License Plate Bracket Installation: Utilizes the included bracket for mounting near the license plate, often allowing for a hidden appearance.
• Surface Mount Installation: Uses the alternative bracket for direct mounting on a flat surface, providing flexibility for various vehicle types.

Wiring and Connection:

The camera features a mini 4-pin connector, which is designed for easier routing through vehicle body panels compared to larger RCA connectors. The power cord uses thick copper core wire for reliable connection.

1. Mount the camera securely using your preferred bracket.
2. Route the video cable from the camera to your car's display unit.
3. Connect the camera's power cord to the vehicle's reverse light circuit or a stable 12V power source that activates when reverse gear is engaged.
4. Connect the RCA video cable to the corresponding input on your car's display unit.

Operating the Camera

Once installed, the Pixelman HD Backup Camera automatically activates when your vehicle is shifted into reverse, displaying a clear image on your connected screen.

Display Mode Switching:

The camera supports switching between front and rear view modes, and enabling/disabling reversing guide lines. This is typically done by cutting specific wires on the camera's cable as indicated in the wiring diagram (Figure 5).

• Front/Rear View: Cut the designated wire loop to switch the image orientation for front or rear camera use.
• Guide Lines: Cut the designated wire loop to remove or enable the reversing guide lines on the display.
