Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life of your remote control.
- Keep the remote control dry. Liquids can cause damage to the internal circuits.
- Do not expose the remote control to extreme temperatures, such as direct sunlight or near heating vents.
- Clean the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents.
- If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent potential leakage and corrosion.
Troubleshooting
Remote Control Not Responding:
- Check Batteries: Ensure batteries are inserted correctly with the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals aligned. Replace with new AAA alkaline batteries if necessary, as depleted batteries are a common cause of unresponsiveness.
- Line of Sight: Verify that there is a clear, unobstructed line of sight between the remote control's infrared emitter and the soundbar's infrared receiver. Objects blocking the path can prevent the signal from reaching the soundbar.
- Distance: Confirm you are within the effective operating range of the soundbar, typically within 20 feet (6 meters) and directly in front of the unit.
- Soundbar Power: Ensure the soundbar itself is powered on and not in standby mode. The remote cannot control a completely unpowered device.
