4. Setup

4.1 SIM Card Installation

The TK103B GPS Tracker requires a 2G SIM card for operation. Ensure the SIM card is active and has sufficient credit for SMS and GPRS data.

  1. Locate the SIM card slot on the device (refer to Figure 1).
  2. Insert the 2G SIM card into the slot, ensuring correct orientation.
  3. Secure the SIM card if necessary, following the device's design.

4.2 Powering On

After inserting the SIM card, connect the device to a 12V-24V car power system using the provided harness. The device also has a chargeable 3.7V 800mAh Li-ion backup battery.

4.3 Initial Configuration

To begin tracking, you can use SMS commands or the provided PC software.

  • Phone Tracking: Call the SIM card number of the tracker. You will receive an SMS with the current location position via a Google Maps link.
