3. Setup

3.1 Package Contents

Before you begin, ensure all items are present in the package:

3.2 Connecting Your Ampero MP-100

  1. Power Connection: Connect the included 18V DC power adapter to the "DC 18V" input jack on the rear panel of the Ampero MP-100. Plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet.
  2. Instrument Input: Connect your guitar, bass, or acoustic instrument to the "INPUT" jack using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable.
  3. Audio Output:
    • For direct connection to a mixer or audio interface, use the "BALANCED OUTPUT" XLR jacks.
    • For connection to an amplifier or other unbalanced equipment, use the "UNBALANCED OUTPUT" 1/4-inch jacks.
    • For silent practice, connect headphones to the "PHONES" jack.
  4. USB Connection: For computer connectivity (firmware updates, software editing, USB audio interface), connect the Ampero MP-100 to your computer via the "USB" port using the provided USB cable.
  5. MIDI Connection: If using external MIDI controllers, connect them to the "MIDI IN" port.
  6. External Expression Pedal/Footswitch: Connect an optional external expression pedal or footswitch to the "EXP 2/FS" jack for expanded control.
