1. Product Overview
The ECOTRIC Universal Fifth Wheel Gooseneck Hitch Adapter Plate is designed to convert existing 5th wheel base rails in your pickup truck bed into a gooseneck towing system. This adapter plate allows for the towing of gooseneck trailers, maximizing the utility of your truck for various heavy-duty towing needs.
It features a 2-5/16 inch heat-treated ball, offset by 2 inches to accommodate both 6-foot and 8-foot truck beds. The plate is constructed from alloy steel and finished with a durable black powder coat for reliable weather resistance.
2. Setup and Installation
This gooseneck hitch adapter is designed for easy installation and removal, allowing full access to your truck bed when not in use. It utilizes the same base rails (e.g., #30035) as standard fifth-wheel hitches.

3. Operating Instructions
Once the ECOTRIC Gooseneck Hitch Adapter Plate is securely installed, you can connect your gooseneck trailer.
3.1 Connecting a Gooseneck Trailer

- Carefully back your truck towards the gooseneck trailer, aligning the trailer's coupler directly over the 2-5/16 inch gooseneck ball.
- Lower the trailer's coupler onto the gooseneck ball, ensuring it locks securely into place. Follow your trailer manufacturer's instructions for proper coupling.
- Attach the trailer's safety chains to the raised safety chain locations on the adapter plate. Ensure chains are crossed under the gooseneck tongue.
- Connect the trailer's electrical wiring harness to your truck's receptacle.
