Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the pedal's exterior. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: If using a 9V battery, replace it when the display dims or the pedal fails to power on. Open the battery compartment on the underside of the unit.
  • Storage: Store the pedal in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
  • Connections: Periodically check all cable connections for wear and tear. Ensure jacks are free of dust and debris.

Troubleshooting

  • Pedal does not power on:
    • Ensure a 9V DC (300mA) power supply is correctly connected or a fresh 9V battery is installed.
    • Verify that an instrument cable is plugged into the 'INPUT' jack.
  • Inaccurate tuning:
    • Check the calibration setting (default is A=440 Hz). Adjust if necessary using the 'CAL' button.
    • Ensure only one string is vibrating when tuning.
    • Check instrument intonation.
  • No sound when tuner is disengaged:
    • Verify all cables are securely connected to the 'INPUT' and 'OUTPUT' jacks.
    • Check the amplifier and instrument volume settings.
  • Timer not functioning:
    • Ensure the 'COUNTDOWN' button is pressed to activate the timer display.
    • Check if the timer has been paused; press 'COUNTDOWN' again to resume.
