Setup
1. Battery Installation
The headlamp operates on 3 AAA batteries (included) or can be powered by an optional rechargeable battery (not included).
- Locate the battery box at the rear of the headband.
- Open the battery box cover.
- Insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Securely close the battery box cover to maintain water resistance.
2. Headband Adjustment
Adjust the elastic headband for a snug yet comfortable fit. The integrated cable design ensures a balanced feel.
- Place the headlamp on your head with the light unit positioned at the front.
- Use the two adjusters on either side of the headband to tighten or loosen the fit.
- Ensure the headband is secure enough to prevent movement during activity but not so tight as to cause discomfort.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off and Light Modes
The headlamp features multiple brightness settings and a rear safety light.
- To Turn On: Press the power button located on the side of the light unit. The headlamp will typically turn on in the last used mode or a default low setting.
- To Cycle Modes: Press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the available brightness modes:
- Max: 400 lumens (illumination distance up to 80m)
- Med: 200 lumens (illumination distance up to 50m)
- Min: 50 lumens (illumination distance up to 20m)
- To Turn Off: Press and hold the power button for approximately 2 seconds.
- Rear Safety Light: The battery box includes a red rear safety light. This light can be set to steady or flashing mode. To control it, open the battery box and locate the small switch inside.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Regular cleaning helps maintain the headlamp's performance and longevity.
- Wipe the headlamp body and lens with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- If the headband becomes dirty, it can be hand-washed with mild soap and water. Ensure the light unit and battery box are not submerged. Allow to air dry completely before reassembly or storage.
Battery Care and Storage
- Remove batteries if the headlamp will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Store the headlamp in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- If using rechargeable batteries, follow the manufacturer's instructions for charging and care.
