1. Introduction

4. Setup
4.1. Powering the Device
The EZCAP230 can be powered by two (2) AA batteries (not included) or via the supplied USB cable.
- Battery Power: Open the battery compartment on the back of the device and insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- USB Power: Connect the small end of the USB cable to the DC 5V port on the converter and the larger end to any standard USB power source (e.g., a USB wall adapter, computer USB port, or power bank).
4.2. Inserting a Cassette Tape
- Gently press the 'Open' button or slide the latch to open the cassette compartment lid.
- Insert your audio cassette tape into the compartment with the open side facing upwards and the tape reels aligned with the device's spindles.
- Close the compartment lid firmly until it clicks into place.
4.3. Inserting a USB Flash Drive
To record or play MP3 files, a USB flash drive is required.
- Locate the USB port on the side of the converter.
- Insert your USB flash drive firmly into the USB port. Ensure it is fully seated.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Converting Cassette to MP3
The EZCAP230 allows for direct conversion of cassette audio to MP3 files on a USB flash drive.
- Ensure a cassette tape is inserted and a USB flash drive is connected.
- Press the 'Play' button on the converter to start playing the cassette tape.
- To begin recording, press the 'Record' button (usually indicated by a red dot). The device will automatically convert the audio playing from the cassette into MP3 files and save them onto the connected USB flash drive.
- To stop recording, press the 'Record' button again. To stop cassette playback, press the 'Stop' button.

5.2. Playback Function
You can listen to your cassette tapes or recorded MP3 files directly through the device's built-in speaker or via headphones.
- Playing Cassettes: Insert a cassette tape and press the 'Play' button.
- Playing MP3s: Ensure a USB flash drive with MP3 files is inserted. Use the playback controls (Play/Pause, Next/Previous, Volume) to navigate and listen to your digital audio files.
- Headphone Use: Plug the included headphones into the 3.5mm audio jack for private listening.
