Troubleshooting

  • Device not connecting via Bluetooth:
    • Ensure the trackball is powered on and in pairing mode (flashing LED).
    • Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your host device.
    • Remove any previous pairings of the trackball from your device's Bluetooth settings and attempt to pair again.
    • Ensure the trackball batteries are not depleted.
  • Cursor movement is erratic or unresponsive:
    • Clean the trackball and its ruby bearings as described in the Maintenance section. Dust or debris can interfere with smooth operation.
    • Check the DPI setting. A very low DPI might make the cursor appear slow or unresponsive.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions or strong interference sources between the trackball and your device.
  • Buttons not functioning correctly:
    • Verify that the Mouse Assistant software is installed and configured correctly.
    • Check for any conflicting software or drivers on your system.
    • Test the buttons on a different device to rule out a software issue on your primary device.
  • Short battery life:
    • Ensure you are using fresh, high-quality AAA batteries.
    • Turn off the trackball when not in use to conserve battery power.
