5. Setup

5.1 Assembling the Stationary Work Table

  1. Place the main bandsaw unit onto the designated mounting points on the work table.
  2. Secure the bandsaw to the table using the provided fasteners. Ensure all connections are tight.
  3. Adjust the clamping vice on the work table to accommodate your workpiece.

5.2 Installing/Changing the Saw Blade

  1. Ensure the tool is unplugged from the power source.
  2. Open the blade guard covers.
  3. Carefully remove the old blade if present.
  4. Position the new blade around the wheels, ensuring the teeth are pointing in the correct cutting direction.
  5. Adjust the blade tension according to the manufacturer's guidelines (refer to the tensioning mechanism, typically a lever or knob).
  6. Close the blade guard covers securely.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 General Operation

  1. Connect the bandsaw to a suitable power supply (230 V, 50 Hz).
  2. Select the appropriate band speed for the material being cut. The MBS 1100 offers variable speed up to 2.4 m/s (144 m/min).
  3. Ensure the workpiece is stable and properly supported.
  4. Activate the LED work light for improved visibility.

6.2 Stationary Use (with Work Table)

  1. Secure the workpiece firmly in the clamping vice on the work table.
  2. Adjust the cutting angle (90° or 40°) as required.
  3. Lower the saw blade slowly and steadily through the material. Do not apply excessive force; let the blade do the work.
  4. Once the cut is complete, allow the blade to stop before removing the workpiece.

6.3 Mobile Use (Handheld)

  1. Ensure the bandsaw is detached from the work table.
  2. Hold the bandsaw firmly with both hands using the ergonomic handles.
  3. Position the blade against the marked cutting line on the workpiece.
  4. Start the saw and allow the blade to reach full speed.
  5. Guide the saw smoothly through the material, maintaining control and a steady feed rate.
  6. The integrated LED light will illuminate the cutting area.
