Setup Instructions

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove the trash can base, lid, and lid ring from the packaging.
2. Install Batteries: Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the lid. Insert 3 'D' size batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators. Securely close the battery compartment cover.

   

3. Attach Lid: Place the lid securely onto the trash can base.
4. Insert Liners: Place a trash bag into each compartment. Secure each bag by fitting the removable ring liner over the top edge of the bag and into the compartment. This holds the bag in place and conceals the bag's edge.

   

5. Apply Labels: Use the provided magnetic labels to identify each compartment as 'Recycle' or 'Trash' as desired.
6. Position Trash Can: Place the trash can in your desired location, ensuring the motion sensor area is clear for optimal operation. The non-skid base will help protect your flooring.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On: Locate the power switch on the back of the lid and switch it to the 'ON' position. The indicator light will illuminate.
2. Motion Sensor Operation: To open the lid, simply wave your hand approximately 6-10 inches above the infrared sensor located on the front of the lid. The lid will open automatically. It will remain open for a few seconds and then close softly and quietly.
3. Manual Open/Close: For longer disposal needs, press the 'OPEN' button on the lid. The lid will stay open until you press the 'CLOSE' button.
4. Disposing Waste: Utilize the dual compartments for separating general trash and recyclables. The magnetic labels help in quick identification.
