2. Key Features

2.1. Anshin Response (Safe Response)

The "Anshin Response" feature allows the doorbell to automatically respond to unknown visitors with a pre-recorded message, enabling you to confirm their identity and purpose before engaging directly. This provides an added layer of security and peace of mind.

2.2. Fire Alarm Linkage

When linked with compatible residential fire alarms (sold separately), the system can notify you and outsiders of a fire detection through alarm sounds, voice alerts, and flashing LED lights on the camera unit. This ensures prompt awareness in case of an emergency.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1. Package Contents

Before installation, ensure all components are present:

3.2. Mounting the Camera Doorbell Unit

The camera doorbell unit is designed for exposed mounting and is compatible with JIS 1-gang switch boxes. Choose a mounting location that provides a clear, unobstructed view of the entrance area. Ensure the unit is protected from direct exposure to rain and harsh weather conditions.

3.3. Placing the Monitor Unit and Wireless Sub-Monitor

Place the monitor unit in a central location within your home, ensuring it is within range of the camera doorbell unit. The wireless sub-monitor can be used up to approximately 100 meters from the monitor unit in an unobstructed environment. To prevent potential interference, avoid placing units too close to other electronic devices such as TVs, radios, computers, air conditioners, water heaters (with intercom function), or home security devices. Such devices can cause malfunctions or reduce wireless range.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Answering a Visitor

When a visitor presses the doorbell, the monitor unit and wireless sub-monitor will display the visitor's image and sound an alert. Press the "Talk" button on either unit to initiate two-way communication with the visitor. Press the "End" button to conclude the conversation.

4.2. Using Anshin Response

To activate Anshin Response, navigate to the menu on the monitor unit and select the "Anshin Response" mode. Once activated, the doorbell will automatically play a pre-recorded message to visitors, asking them to state their name and purpose. This allows you to screen visitors without direct interaction.

4.3. Reviewing Recordings

Access recorded video and images via the menu on the monitor unit. You can review past visitor interactions stored on the SD card or internal memory. This feature is useful for identifying visitors who called while you were away or for security purposes.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

Regularly wipe the camera lens and monitor screen with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear visibility. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the surfaces. For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water.

5.2. Battery Care

For the wireless sub-monitor, ensure the battery pack is charged regularly by placing it in its charging cradle. If the sub-monitor will not be used for an extended period, it is recommended to remove the battery pack to prevent discharge and prolong battery life.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. No Image or Sound from Doorbell

6.2. Poor Image Quality

6.3. Wireless Interference or Time Lag

If you experience signal issues, delays in image/sound transmission, or poor wireless range, it may be due to interference. Ensure the monitor unit and wireless sub-monitor are not placed too close to other electronic devices such as TVs, radios, computers, or home security systems. Repositioning units or moving them further away from such devices may significantly improve performance and reduce time lag.
