1. Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the safe and efficient use of your Panasonic Wireless Monitor TV Doorbell, model VL-SWZ300KF. This system enhances home security and convenience with advanced features such as visitor response, fire alarm integration, and parcel delivery guidance. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and keep it for future reference.

2. Key Features
2.1. Anshin Response (Safe Response)
The "Anshin Response" feature allows the doorbell to automatically respond to unknown visitors with a pre-recorded message, enabling you to confirm their identity and purpose before engaging directly. This provides an added layer of security and peace of mind.

2.2. Fire Alarm Linkage
When linked with compatible residential fire alarms (sold separately), the system can notify you and outsiders of a fire detection through alarm sounds, voice alerts, and flashing LED lights on the camera unit. This ensures prompt awareness in case of an emergency.

2.3. Delivery Box Integration
The doorbell can guide delivery personnel to deposit packages into a compatible delivery box (sold separately) when you are away or unable to answer the door. The monitor unit will notify you when a package has been received, offering convenience for package reception.

2.4. Wide-Angle Lens and LED Light
The camera unit features a wide-angle lens, providing approximately 170 degrees of horizontal view for comprehensive visitor monitoring. An integrated LED light ensures clear visibility of visitors even in low-light conditions or at night, enhancing security and identification.

2.5. Recording Function
The system supports recording video and audio to an SD card (sold separately) for up to 3000 events, each approximately 30 seconds long. It also has internal memory for up to 20 sets of 8 continuous images (still images taken approximately every 1 second), allowing you to review past visitor interactions.

3.2. Mounting the Camera Doorbell Unit
The camera doorbell unit is designed for exposed mounting and is compatible with JIS 1-gang switch boxes. Choose a mounting location that provides a clear, unobstructed view of the entrance area. Ensure the unit is protected from direct exposure to rain and harsh weather conditions.

3.3. Placing the Monitor Unit and Wireless Sub-Monitor
Place the monitor unit in a central location within your home, ensuring it is within range of the camera doorbell unit. The wireless sub-monitor can be used up to approximately 100 meters from the monitor unit in an unobstructed environment. To prevent potential interference, avoid placing units too close to other electronic devices such as TVs, radios, computers, air conditioners, water heaters (with intercom function), or home security devices. Such devices can cause malfunctions or reduce wireless range.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Answering a Visitor
When a visitor presses the doorbell, the monitor unit and wireless sub-monitor will display the visitor's image and sound an alert. Press the "Talk" button on either unit to initiate two-way communication with the visitor. Press the "End" button to conclude the conversation.
4.2. Using Anshin Response
To activate Anshin Response, navigate to the menu on the monitor unit and select the "Anshin Response" mode. Once activated, the doorbell will automatically play a pre-recorded message to visitors, asking them to state their name and purpose. This allows you to screen visitors without direct interaction.

4.3. Reviewing Recordings
Access recorded video and images via the menu on the monitor unit. You can review past visitor interactions stored on the SD card or internal memory. This feature is useful for identifying visitors who called while you were away or for security purposes.
5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning
Regularly wipe the camera lens and monitor screen with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear visibility. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the surfaces. For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water.
5.2. Battery Care
For the wireless sub-monitor, ensure the battery pack is charged regularly by placing it in its charging cradle. If the sub-monitor will not be used for an extended period, it is recommended to remove the battery pack to prevent discharge and prolong battery life.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1. No Image or Sound from Doorbell
- Check Power: Ensure the monitor unit is properly connected to a power source and turned on.
- Doorbell Connection: Verify that the camera doorbell unit is securely connected to its wiring.
- Wireless Signal: Check the wireless signal strength indicator on the monitor unit. If weak, try repositioning the units closer or away from interference sources.
6.2. Poor Image Quality
- Clean Lens: Gently clean the camera lens with a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt or smudges.
- Lighting: Ensure there is adequate lighting at the entrance. The built-in LED light should activate in low-light conditions.
- Obstructions: Check for any physical obstructions blocking the camera's field of view.
6.3. Wireless Interference or Time Lag
If you experience signal issues, delays in image/sound transmission, or poor wireless range, it may be due to interference. Ensure the monitor unit and wireless sub-monitor are not placed too close to other electronic devices such as TVs, radios, computers, or home security systems. Repositioning units or moving them further away from such devices may significantly improve performance and reduce time lag.
