Starting the Engine

  1. Pull the ON/OFF switch up to the "ON" position.
  2. Pull the choke knob.
  3. Pull the Start Handle quickly several times until the engine attempts to start.

  6. Once started, press the throttle interlock, then the trigger to engage the chain. To stop, pull the switch to "STOP".

  3. Start Handle Pulls (Choke ON): Pull the start handle quickly several times until the engine attempts to fire (a "pop" sound).

  5. Start Handle Pulls (Choke OFF): Pull the start handle quickly several more times until the engine starts.
  6. Throttle: Once the engine is running, press the throttle interlock and then the trigger to engage the chain.
  7. Stopping: To stop the engine, pull the ON/OFF switch to the "STOP" position.

Important Note: To avoid starting issues, ensure the correct oil ratio (Gasoline 25: Two-Cycle Oil 1) is used, the switch is in the "ON" position, and the choke knob is pulled before starting.
