2. Important Safety Information
Please read all instructions carefully before using this appliance. Basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.
- Hot Surfaces: The oven surfaces, including the door and handle, become extremely hot during and after operation. Always use oven mitts or pot holders when touching hot surfaces.
- Electrical Safety: Do not immerse the cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquid. Ensure the power cord does not touch hot surfaces.
- Supervision: Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Proper Use: Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use. Do not place paper, cardboard, plastic, or other flammable materials inside the oven.

4. Initial Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the oven and all accessories from the packaging. Remove any packing materials, stickers, or protective film from the appliance.
- Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the exterior of the oven with a damp cloth. Wash the baking tray, oven rack, and broil rack in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Placement: Place the oven on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, ensuring at least 4 inches (10 cm) of clearance on all sides for proper ventilation. Do not place it near a wall or under cabinets.
- First Use Burn-Off: It is recommended to run the oven empty for approximately 15 minutes on the "Bake" setting at 400°F (200°C) before first use. This will burn off any manufacturing oils and eliminate any initial odors. A slight odor or smoke is normal during this process. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V AC electrical outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
Your HENCKELS Convection Toaster Mini-Oven features digital controls for precise cooking. Follow these steps for general operation and specific cooking modes.
General Operation:
- Power On: Plug the oven into a suitable electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
- Select Function: Turn the Function Mode Knob to select your desired cooking mode (Bake, Broil, Pizza, Toast, Bagel, Warm).
- Adjust Settings:
- For Bake, Broil, Pizza, Warm: Press the Time/Temp button to toggle between time and temperature adjustment. Use the Time/Temp Knob to set the desired value.
- For Toast, Bagel: Press the Slice/Shade button to toggle between number of slices and toast shade. Use the Time/Temp Knob to set the desired value.
- Convection (if applicable): For Bake, Broil, and Pizza modes, you can press the Convec button to turn the convection fan ON or OFF. The convection fan circulates hot air for faster, more even cooking.
- Start Cooking: Press the Start/Stop button to begin the cooking cycle.
- Stop Cooking: To stop cooking at any time, press the Start/Stop button again.
Specific Cooking Modes:
Bake Mode:
Ideal for baking cakes, cookies, casseroles, and other dishes. Temperature range: 150°F - 500°F.
- Turn the Function Mode Knob to "Bake".
- Press Time/Temp to select temperature, then turn the Time/Temp Knob to set. Press Time/Temp again to select time, then turn the Time/Temp Knob to set.
- (Optional) Press Convec for convection baking.
- Place food on the oven rack or baking tray.
- Press Start/Stop.
Broil Mode:
For broiling meats, fish, or browning the top of dishes. Use the pull-out broil rack with the baking tray underneath to catch drippings.
- Turn the Function Mode Knob to "Broil".
- Set desired time using the Time/Temp Knob. Temperature is fixed for broil.
- Place food on the broil rack within the baking tray.
- Press Start/Stop.
Pizza Mode:
Optimized for cooking pizzas up to 12 inches.

- Turn the Function Mode Knob to "Pizza".
- Set desired time and temperature using the Time/Temp Knob.
- (Optional) Press Convec for convection cooking.
- Place pizza directly on the oven rack or on the baking tray.
- Press Start/Stop.
Toast Mode:
For toasting bread slices. Capacity for up to 6 slices.
- Turn the Function Mode Knob to "Toast".
- Press Slice/Shade to select the number of slices, then turn the Time/Temp Knob to set.
- Press Slice/Shade again to select toast shade (light to dark), then turn the Time/Temp Knob to set.
- Place bread slices directly on the oven rack.
- Press Start/Stop.
Bagel Mode:
Specifically designed for toasting bagels, toasting the cut side while gently warming the other.
- Turn the Function Mode Knob to "Bagel".
- Press Slice/Shade to select the number of bagel halves, then turn the Time/Temp Knob to set.
- Press Slice/Shade again to select toast shade, then turn the Time/Temp Knob to set.
- Place bagel halves cut-side up on the oven rack.
- Press Start/Stop.
Warm Mode:
Keeps food warm without further cooking.
- Turn the Function Mode Knob to "Warm".
- Set desired time using the Time/Temp Knob. Temperature is fixed for warm.
- Place food on the oven rack or baking tray.
- Press Start/Stop.
6. Care and Maintenance
Regular cleaning and proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your HENCKELS Convection Toaster Mini-Oven.
- Always Unplug: Before cleaning, always unplug the oven from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely.
- Crumb Tray: The crumb tray should be removed and cleaned regularly, ideally after each use, to prevent the buildup of crumbs and grease, which can be a fire hazard. Slide out the tray, discard crumbs, and wash with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly before replacing.
- Interior: Wipe the interior walls with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, a non-abrasive cleaner designed for oven interiors can be used. Do not use steel wool pads or abrasive cleaners on any part of the oven.
- Exterior: Clean the exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as they may scratch the finish.
- Accessories: The baking tray, oven rack, and broil rack can be washed in warm, soapy water or placed in the dishwasher. Ensure they are completely dry before storing or reinserting into the oven.
