5. Installation
This light is designed for wall mounting. Follow these steps carefully:
- Turn off Power: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse box and turn off the power to the junction box where the light will be installed.
- Prepare Mounting Plate: Attach the mounting plate to the junction box using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Wiring:
- Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (live) wire from the junction box.
- Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box.
- Connect the green (ground) wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box.
- Secure all connections with wire nuts.
- Mount Fixture: Align the fixture with the mounting plate and secure it with the provided screws. Ensure the gasket is properly seated to maintain weather resistance.
- Adjust Light Heads and Sensor: Loosen the adjustment screws on the light heads and motion sensor. Position them to cover the desired area. Tighten the screws once adjusted.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
6. Operation and Settings
The motion sensor has two adjustable dials located on its underside:
- TIME Dial: Controls the duration the light stays on after motion is detected. Adjustable from 10 seconds to 10 minutes.
- SENS (Sensitivity) Dial: Adjusts the motion detection range. Adjustable from 0 to 72 feet.
Test Mode: Set the TIME dial to "Test" for initial setup. In this mode, the light will turn on for a few seconds each time motion is detected, regardless of ambient light, allowing you to verify the sensor's coverage area.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the fixture with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the wiring and connections for any signs of damage or wear.
- LEDs: The LED light source is integrated and not user-replaceable.
