Follow these steps to properly install your Cooler Master V550 Gold V2 power supply.
- Prepare Your System: Ensure your computer is completely powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet. Open your PC case to access the power supply mounting area.
- Mount the PSU: Carefully slide the V550 Gold V2 into the designated power supply bay in your PC case. Secure it using the provided mounting screws.

Semi-Fanless Operation
This power supply features a semi-fanless mode. The 135mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) fan remains off under low load (up to 40% of total capacity) to provide silent operation. As the load increases, the fan will automatically activate to maintain optimal temperatures.
Hybrid Switch
A hardware-based hybrid switch is located on the rear of the PSU. This switch allows you to manually toggle the semi-fanless mode on or off.
- Switch ON: Enables semi-fanless mode (fan off under low load).
- Switch OFF: Forces the fan to run continuously, regardless of load.
