eMACROS HS002C Solar Wireless Driveway Alarm System User Manual

Model: HS002C (1 Receiver & 3 Sensors)

Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your eMACROS HS002C Solar Wireless Driveway Alarm System. This system is designed to detect motion from humans, vehicles, and large animals, providing alerts to enhance property security. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use.

Setup

Package Contents

1. Powering the Receiver

Plug the receiver into a standard wall outlet using the provided power adapter. Ensure the receiver is powered on. The receiver is designed for indoor use.

2. Mounting the Solar Motion Sensors

The solar motion sensors are weatherproof and designed for outdoor use. Mount them on a stable surface such as a wall, fence post, or tree using the included mounting hardware. For optimal performance, ensure the solar panel faces direct sunlight for several hours daily. The swivel mount allows for precise adjustment of the detection angle.

3. Pairing Sensors with Receiver

To pair a sensor with the receiver, first ensure the receiver is in pairing mode (indicated by a flashing channel light, typically achieved by holding the power button for 10 seconds). Then, turn on the sensor and trigger its motion detection. The corresponding channel light on the receiver will illuminate solid red, indicating successful pairing. Repeat for all sensors.

Video: Shows the process of plugging in the receiver, activating pairing mode, and then triggering a sensor to complete the pairing.

Operating Instructions

1. Adjusting Sensor Sensitivity

Each sensor has a sensitivity switch (Hi/Low) located under the rubber cover on the back. 'Hi' detects motion up to 30 feet, while 'Low' detects up to 20 feet. Adjust this setting to minimize false alarms from small animals or environmental factors.

2. Changing Chimes and Volume

The receiver offers multiple chime options and adjustable volume levels. Use the dedicated buttons on the receiver to cycle through chimes and adjust the volume to your preference. Different chimes can be assigned to different sensors to identify the detection zone.

3. Understanding Detection Zones

The system supports up to 4 sensors, each assigned to a distinct channel (1-4) on the receiver. When a sensor is triggered, the corresponding channel light on the receiver illuminates, and the selected chime sounds, indicating which zone has detected activity.

Maintenance

1. Solar Charging

The sensors are equipped with solar panels for continuous charging. Ensure the solar panel is kept clean and free from obstructions (e.g., leaves, snow) to maximize charging efficiency. The unit charges even on cloudy or rainy days.

2. Manual Charging

If prolonged periods of low sunlight occur, or if the sensor battery is low, you can manually charge the sensor using a USB-C cable (not included for sensors, but the receiver's adapter can be used). The charging port is located under the rubber cover on the back of the sensor.

3. Weather Resistance

The outdoor sensors feature industrial-grade PVC housing and rubberized weather/water-resistant seals (IP65 rated) to withstand various weather conditions, including sun, rain, wind, and snow.
