Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using the JASHEN D18 cordless vacuum cleaner. Keep this manual for future reference.

• Do not use the appliance outdoors or on wet surfaces.
• Do not allow children to operate the vacuum cleaner.
• Do not pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
• Do not use without dust cup and filters in place.
• Turn off the appliance before connecting or disconnecting the motorized brush.
• Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended attachments.
• Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
• Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce airflow.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
• Exercise extra care when cleaning on stairs.
• Disconnect the battery pack from the appliance before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the appliance.
• Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the appliance.

Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your JASHEN D18 vacuum cleaner.

1. Attach the Extension Wand: Insert the metal extension wand into the main body until it clicks securely into place.
2. Attach the Floor Brush: Connect the desired floor brush (soft-roller for hard floors or carpet brushroll for carpets) to the other end of the extension wand until it clicks.
3. Install Wall-mounted Dock: Choose a suitable location near a power outlet. Use the provided screws to securely mount the dock to the wall.
4. Charge the Battery: Before first use, fully charge the vacuum cleaner. You can charge it by plugging the adaptor directly into the main body or by placing the vacuum on the wall-mounted dock.

Operating Instructions

Learn how to effectively use your JASHEN D18 for various cleaning tasks.

Power On/Off and Suction Modes

• Power On: Press the power button on the main body to start the vacuum.
• Adjust Suction: The vacuum offers 3 selectable speeds. Press the mode button to cycle through the suction levels (Low, Medium, High) to suit your cleaning needs.
• Power Off: Press the power button again to turn off the vacuum.

Using Different Brushrolls

The JASHEN D18 comes with two brushroll options for optimal cleaning on different surfaces.

• Hard Floor Brushroll (Soft-roller): Ideal for delicate hard floors like wood, tile, and laminate. It effectively picks up fine dust and larger debris without scratching.
• Carpet Brushroll: Designed for carpets and rugs. It agitates carpet fibers to lift embedded dirt and pet hair.
• Changing Brushrolls: To change the brushroll, turn off the vacuum, detach the floor brush from the extension wand, and follow the instructions in the maintenance section to remove and replace the brushroll.

Light-Sensitive Headlights

The D18 features light-sensitive headlights on the floor brush. These headlights automatically illuminate in darker areas, such as under furniture or in dimly lit corners, to help you spot hidden dust and debris. This feature helps conserve battery power by only activating when needed.

Handheld Mode

To convert the D18 into a handheld vacuum, simply detach the extension wand and floor brush from the main body. Attach the 2-in-1 dusting brush or crevice nozzle directly to the main body for cleaning upholstery, car interiors, stairs, or tight spaces.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your JASHEN D18 vacuum cleaner.

Emptying the Dustbin

Empty the dustbin after each use or when the MAX fill line is reached.

1. Ensure the vacuum is turned off.
2. Hold the main body over a trash can.
3. Press the dustbin release button to open the bottom flap and empty the contents.
4. Close the flap securely until it clicks.

Cleaning the Filters

The D18 features a 5-layer filtration system. Clean the filters regularly to maintain suction power.

1. Disassemble: Twist and pull to remove the dustbin from the main body. Then, remove the internal filter components (Stainless Steel Filter, Sponge, Hi-Q Material Mesh Filter, High Density Screen Filter).
2. Rinse: Rinse the filters under cold running water until the water runs clear. Do not use hot water or detergents.
3. Dry: Allow all filter components to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reassembling. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.
4. Reassemble: Once completely dry, reassemble the filters in reverse order and attach the dustbin back to the main body.

Note: The HEPA filter (High Density Screen Filter) is washable. Replace it every 3-6 months depending on usage.

Cleaning the Brushrolls

Periodically check the brushrolls for tangled hair or debris.

1. Turn off the vacuum and detach the floor brush.
2. Locate the brushroll release tab on the side of the floor brush.
3. Open the tab and pull out the brushroll.
4. Use scissors or a cleaning tool to remove any tangled hair or fibers.
5. Rinse the brushroll if necessary and allow it to air dry completely.
6. Reinsert the clean brushroll and secure the release tab.
