3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries for operation. Batteries are not included with the remote control.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control (refer to Image 2).
  2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or in the direction indicated by an arrow to open it.
  3. Insert two new AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Note: Always replace both batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

4. Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at the infrared sensor on your Sony Mini HI-FI Component System. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the system.

4.1 Basic Functions

  • Power (I/O): Press to turn the system on or off.
  • Volume (+/-): Adjusts the audio output level.
  • Muting: Mutes or unmutes the audio.
  • Number Buttons (0-9): Used for direct track selection, channel input, or numerical entries.
  • Directional Buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) & Enter: Navigate through menus and confirm selections.
  • Play, Pause, Stop: Control media playback.

  • Disc Skip: Skips between discs in a multi-disc changer (if applicable).

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement
