1. Important Safety Information

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance and save them for future reference. Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons.

• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner.

• Do not use outdoors.

• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot water.
• This appliance is equipped with a boil-dry protection feature. If the kettle is accidentally switched on without water, it will automatically switch off. Allow the kettle to cool down before refilling with cold water.
• Ensure the lid is securely closed before operating the kettle.
• Do not fill above the MAX fill line or below the MIN fill line to prevent boiling over or boil-dry activation.

3. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully unpack the electric kettle and all its components. Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels.
2. First Use Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with cold water up to the MAX fill line. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
3. Positioning the Power Base: Place the power base on a dry, flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in contact with hot surfaces.
4. Connecting to Power: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

1. Filling the Kettle: Open the lid by pressing the lid release button. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of cold water. Ensure the water level is between the MIN and MAX marks on the side of the kettle. Close the lid securely.
2. Placing on Power Base: Place the kettle firmly onto the power base. The kettle can be placed in any direction on the 360° rotating base.
3. Starting the Boil: Flip the On/Off switch located on the handle downwards. The blue LED light at the base of the kettle will illuminate, indicating that the kettle is heating.
4. Automatic Shut-Off: The kettle will automatically switch off once the water has reached a rolling boil. The blue LED light will turn off, and the On/Off switch will return to the upright position.
5. Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from its power base and pour the hot water. Be cautious of hot steam escaping from the spout.
6. Re-boiling: If you need to re-boil water, wait a few moments for the internal thermostat to reset before flipping the On/Off switch again.

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Kalorik Electric Kettle.

Daily Cleaning

• Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the kettle and the power base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
• Interior: Rinse the interior of the kettle with clean water. Do not immerse the kettle body or the power base in water or any other liquid.
• Filter: The removable filter located in the spout can be rinsed under running water to remove any loose scale or debris.

Descaling (Removing Mineral Deposits)

Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the kettle over time, especially in areas with hard water. This can affect boiling time and efficiency. Descale your kettle regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use.

• Vinegar Method: Fill the kettle with 2 cups of white vinegar and 2 cups of water. Let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or boil the mixture and let it stand for 15-20 minutes. Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly several times with fresh water.
• Citric Acid Method: Dissolve 1 tablespoon of citric acid powder in 4 cups of water. Pour into the kettle, boil, and let stand for 15-20 minutes. Empty and rinse thoroughly.
• Commercial Descaler: Follow the instructions provided with a commercial kettle descaling product.

Note: Ensure all descaling solution is thoroughly rinsed out before using the kettle for beverages.
