1. Product Overview

2. Setup and Installation

2.2 Mounting

Select a suitable location on an interior wall, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources that could affect temperature readings. The thermostat should be mounted at a standard height, typically 1.5 meters (5 feet) from the floor.

2.3 Wiring

This is a wired thermostat. It switches with 230 V AC or can be used with potential-free systems. It is compatible with a switching load of 8 A capacitive and 2 A inductive. Refer to the wiring diagram on the back of the unit or consult a professional for proper connection to your heating or cooling system.

2.4 Battery Installation

The thermostat is powered by two 1.5V AAA batteries. Insert the batteries into the compartment located on the back of the unit, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).

3. Operating Instructions

The thermostat is designed for simple and direct temperature control.

3.1 Setting the Temperature

To adjust the desired temperature, rotate the large adjusting wheel on the right side of the thermostat. The LCD display will show the 'SET' temperature as you turn the dial. The 'ROOM' temperature indicates the current ambient temperature. The thermostat will automatically activate your heating or cooling system to reach the set temperature.

3.2 Display Backlight

The LCD display features a backlight for improved visibility, especially in low-light conditions. The backlight typically activates when the adjusting wheel is turned or a button is pressed, and then turns off after a short period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

3.3 Frost Protection

The thermostat includes a frost protection feature. If the room temperature drops below a certain threshold (usually around 50C), the thermostat will automatically activate the heating system to prevent pipes from freezing, even if the set temperature is lower.

3.4 Temperature Calibration

If you encounter issues with your thermostat, try the following basic troubleshooting steps:

• No Display / Dim Display: Check or replace the AAA batteries. Ensure they are inserted with correct polarity.
• Thermostat Not Responding: Ensure batteries are fresh and correctly installed. If the issue persists, a professional check of the wiring may be necessary.
• Incorrect Temperature Reading: Ensure the thermostat is not exposed to direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources. If the reading is consistently off, the unit may require calibration (refer to section 3.4 or consult a technician).
• Heating/Cooling System Not Activating: Verify the set temperature is appropriately higher (for heating) or lower (for cooling) than the room temperature. Check the system's power supply and circuit breaker. For persistent issues, professional electrical inspection is recommended.
