Setup and Installation

1. Initial Power-Up and Reset

Upon first use or after a power outage, the timer display may be blank. Connect the timer to a power source (220VAC). To clear any previous settings and initialize the device, locate the small 'R' (Reset) button on the front panel. Use a pointed non-metallic object (like a toothpick) to press this button. The display will show '00:00:00' and all settings will be cleared.

2. Setting Current Time

1. Press the CLOCK button and hold it.
2. While holding CLOCK, press WEEK to set the current day of the week (MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU).
3. While holding CLOCK, press HOUR to set the current hour (0-23).
4. While holding CLOCK, press MIN to set the current minute (0-59).
5. Release the CLOCK button. The time is now set.

3. Wiring Instructions

The TM618N-2 timer requires careful wiring. Refer to the diagram below for correct connections. Ensure power is disconnected before performing any wiring.

• Terminals 1 & 2: Power Input (200-250VAC). Connect your main power supply here.
• Terminals 3, 4, 5: Output Contacts (16 AMP / 250VAC, 20 AMP @30 VDC).
  • Terminal 3: Normally Closed (NC) contact.
  • Terminal 4: Common (COM) contact.
  • Terminal 5: Normally Open (NO) contact.
  Connect your load (appliance) to the Common (4) and either Normally Open (5) for typical ON/OFF control, or Normally Closed (3) if you require the load to be ON when the timer is OFF.

Operating Instructions

1. Programming ON/OFF Times (16 Programs)

The timer supports up to 16 ON/OFF programs. Each program consists of an ON time and an OFF time.

1. Press the PROG button. The display will show '1 ON' and '00:00'.
2. Press WEEK to select the day(s) for this program. You can choose a single day, specific days (e.g., MO-WE-FR), weekdays (MO-TU-WE-TH-FR), weekends (SA-SU), or all 7 days (MO-TU-WE-TH-FR-SA-SU).
3. Press HOUR to set the desired ON hour.
4. Press MIN to set the desired ON minute.
5. Press PROG again. The display will show '1 OFF' and '00:00'.
6. Repeat steps 2-4 to set the OFF time for the first program.
7. Continue pressing PROG to cycle through the remaining 15 ON/OFF programs, setting each as needed. If you don't need all 16 programs, simply press CLOCK to exit programming mode.
8. To clear a specific program, press PROG to navigate to that program, then press RECALL. The time will be replaced with '--:--'.

2. Manual Override

The MANUAL button allows you to override the programmed settings temporarily or permanently.

• Press MANUAL repeatedly to cycle through the modes:
  • ON AUTO: The timer is currently ON, but will follow the next programmed OFF time.
  • OFF AUTO: The timer is currently OFF, but will follow the next programmed ON time.
  • ON: The timer output is continuously ON, ignoring all programs.
  • OFF: The timer output is continuously OFF, ignoring all programs.
• Select AUTO mode (either ON AUTO or OFF AUTO) for the timer to resume its programmed schedule.

Maintenance

The SINOTIMER TM618N-2 is designed for low maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure its longevity:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the timer. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the device in water.
