Setup

Before First Use

1. Unpack the coffee maker and remove all packaging materials.
2. Wash the carafe, lid, and reusable filter in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
4. For the first use, fill the water reservoir to the 12-cup mark with clean water. Do not add coffee grounds. Run a full brewing cycle to clean the internal components. Discard the water. Repeat this process once more.

Setting the Clock

1. Plug the coffee maker into a standard electrical outlet. The display will flash "12:00".
2. Press the HOUR button to set the hour. The time will advance. Note the small dot on the display for PM indication.
3. Press the MINUTE button to set the minutes.
4. Once the desired time is set, stop pressing the buttons. The clock will set automatically after a few seconds.

Operating Instructions

Brewing Coffee

1. Open the top lid of the coffee maker.
2. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water to the desired number of cups, using the water level indicator on the side. Do not exceed the "MAX 12" line.
3. Place the reusable filter into the filter basket.
4. Add the desired amount of ground coffee to the reusable filter. A general guideline is one level tablespoon of coffee grounds per cup, but adjust to your personal taste.
5. Close the top lid securely.
6. Ensure the glass carafe with its lid is properly placed on the warming plate.
7. Press the ON/OFF button to start brewing. The indicator light will illuminate.
8. The coffee maker features a 30-second anti-drip function, allowing you to briefly remove the carafe to pour a cup before brewing is complete. Return the carafe within 30 seconds to prevent overflow.
9. Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch to the "keep warm" function. The appliance will automatically shut off after 120 minutes.

Setting Brew Strength

• Before pressing the ON/OFF button, press the STRENGTH button.
• Each press will cycle through available strength options (e.g., Regular, Strong). Select your preferred strength.

Maintenance

Daily Cleaning

1. Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning and allow it to cool completely.
2. Remove the reusable filter and discard used coffee grounds. Wash the reusable filter, filter basket, and carafe in warm, soapy water. These parts are also top-rack dishwasher safe.
3. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
4. Wipe the warming plate with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive materials.

Descaling (Mineral Deposit Removal)

Mineral deposits (calcium) can build up in your coffee maker and affect its performance. Descale your coffee maker every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.

1. Mix 4 cups of white vinegar with 8 cups of cold water in the carafe.
2. Pour the mixture into the water reservoir.
3. Place the empty reusable filter and carafe back into position.
4. Press the ON/OFF button to start a brewing cycle.
5. After about 1 minute, turn the coffee maker off. Let the mixture soak for at least 30 minutes to an hour.
6. Turn the coffee maker back on to complete the brewing cycle.
7. Discard the vinegar solution.
8. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water and run two full brewing cycles with only water to rinse out any remaining vinegar taste.
