Your guide to setting up, operating, and maintaining your high-fidelity turntable.

Introduction

Welcome to the world of high-fidelity audio with your new Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO turntable. This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your turntable to ensure optimal performance and longevity. The Debut Carbon EVO features an 8.6" one-piece Carbon Fiber tonearm, electronic speed selection for 33/45 RPM (78 capable), low-friction precision sapphire tonearm bearings, a pre-mounted Sumiko Rainier phono cartridge, and a heavy 1.7kg Stamped Steel Platter with TPE Damping for superior sound quality.

1. Setup Guide

Proper setup is crucial for achieving the best sound from your turntable. Please follow these steps carefully.

1.1 Unpacking and Placement

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the turntable on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive vibration. The turntable features height-adjustable damped metal feet for perfect stability and enhanced audio quality.

1.3 Tonearm and Cartridge Setup

Your turntable comes with a pre-mounted Sumiko Rainier phono cartridge on an 8.6" one-piece Carbon Fiber tonearm. The tonearm features low-friction precision sapphire bearings for smooth tracking. Adjust the counterweight to achieve the recommended tracking force for the Sumiko Rainier cartridge (typically 2.0 grams). Refer to the cartridge manufacturer's specifications for precise settings.
