3. Setup

3.1 Initial Setup (Oil and Fuel)

  1. Place the generator on a firm, level surface.
  2. Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick.
  3. Using the provided oil funnel, carefully add the included engine oil (SAE 5W-30) to the engine crankcase until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
  4. Securely replace the oil fill cap/dipstick.
  5. Unscrew the fuel cap.
  6. Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline (minimum 87 octane) up to the fill line, ensuring not to overfill. The tank capacity is approximately 1.0 gallon.
  7. Securely replace the fuel cap.

3.2 Connecting Devices

The GP2500i features multiple outlets for connecting various devices:

4. Operation

4.1 Starting the Generator

  1. Ensure the generator has sufficient oil and fuel.
  2. Turn the integrated Off/Run/Choke Knob to the 'Choke' position for cold starts. For warm starts, turn to 'Run'.
  3. Pull the recoil start handle firmly and steadily until the engine starts.
