Setup

1. Battery Installation

The EVISTR V509 is powered by two AAA batteries. Batteries are not included in the package.

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
  2. Slide the cover open.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

1. Basic Recording

3. Voice Activated Recording (VAR)

The VAR function allows the recorder to start recording automatically when sound is detected and pause when silence occurs, saving memory and battery life. The V509 offers 7 sensitivity levels.

  1. Access the menu and navigate to the VAR settings.
  2. Select your desired sensitivity level (Level 1 is most sensitive, Level 7 requires louder sound).
  3. Activate VAR mode. The recorder will now only record when sound is present.

4. Password Protection

You can set a 4-digit password to prevent unauthorized access to your device and recordings.

  1. Go to the device settings menu.
  2. Select "Password" or "Security" option.
  3. Enter a new 4-digit password using the navigation buttons.
  4. Confirm the password.
  5. Once enabled, the device will require the password upon startup.

Important: Remember your password. If you forget it, you may not be able to access your recordings. Do not set a password if you plan to use the auto-timing record feature.

5. File Management and Connecting to Computer

You can easily transfer and manage your recording files by connecting the V509 to a computer.

6. A-B Repeat Function

The A-B repeat function allows you to loop a specific segment of an audio file for repeated listening.

  1. During playback, press the A-B button at the desired starting point (A).
  2. Press the A-B button again at the desired ending point (B).
  3. The recorder will now continuously play the segment between A and B.
  4. Press the A-B button a third time to exit the repeat mode.

7. Variable Speed Playback
