- Open the lid of the vacuum sealer.
- Place the open end of the bag into the vacuum chamber, ensuring it lies flat across the sealing strip and within the drip tray area.
- Close the lid firmly until it clicks into place on both sides.
- Press the 'Vacuum & Seal' button. The appliance will automatically remove air from the bag and then seal it. The LED indicator will illuminate during the process.
- Once the LED light turns off, the process is complete. Open the lid and remove the sealed bag.


5.2 Vacuum Sealing (Moist Food)
For foods with some moisture, select the 'Moist' mode to ensure proper sealing.
- Prepare the food in the vacuum bag as described in section 5.1.
- Close the lid firmly.
- Select the 'Moist' mode (refer to the control panel for the specific button/indicator).
- Press the 'Vacuum & Seal' button. The appliance will adjust the vacuum and sealing time for moist foods.
- Once the LED light turns off, the process is complete. Open the lid and remove the sealed bag.
5.3 Sealing Only
Use this function to create a seal without vacuuming, useful for making bags from a roll or sealing delicate items.
- Place the open end of the bag across the sealing strip.
- Close the lid firmly.
- Press the 'Seal Only' button. The appliance will heat the sealing strip to create a seal.
- The LED indicator will illuminate during sealing and turn off when complete.
- Open the lid and remove the sealed bag.
5.4 External Vacuum for Containers and Bottles
The SealVac 120 SteelCut can also vacuum seal compatible external containers and bottles using the included tube.
- Ensure the container or bottle is designed for vacuum sealing and has a compatible port.
- Connect one end of the vacuum tube to the external vacuum port on the appliance.
- Connect the other end of the tube to the port on the container or bottle.
- Close the lid of the appliance (it does not need to be latched for external vacuuming).
