This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Panasonic SoundSlayer SC-HTB01 Dolby Atmos Soundbar. The SoundSlayer is a compact soundbar speaker with a built-in subwoofer, designed to deliver immersive audio with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technologies. It supports 4K Passthrough, allowing high-definition content to pass through without loss of image quality. Setup
1. Unboxing and Component Check
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the following items are present:
- Panasonic SoundSlayer SC-HTB01 Soundbar
- Remote Control
- Power Cable
- AC Adapter
- Instruction Manual (this document)
Note: HDMI or Optical cables are not included and must be purchased separately if needed for your setup.
2. Power Connection
- Connect the AC adapter to the DC IN port on the rear of the soundbar.
- Plug the power cable into the AC adapter, then into a wall outlet.
3. Connecting to Your Device
The SoundSlayer offers multiple connection options:
- HDMI (Recommended for Dolby Atmos/DTS:X and 4K HDR Passthrough): Connect an HDMI cable from your source device (e.g., gaming console, Blu-ray player) to the HDMI (AV IN) port on the soundbar. Then, connect another HDMI cable from the HDMI (AV OUT) port on the soundbar to your TV or monitor.
- Optical: Connect an optical cable from your TV or source device's optical output to the OPTICAL IN port on the soundbar.
- Bluetooth: For wireless audio streaming from compatible devices like smartphones or tablets.

4. Remote Control Setup
Insert the included batteries into the remote control. Ensure correct polarity. The remote allows control over power, input selection, volume, sound modes, and other settings.
5. Placement
Place the soundbar on a stable, flat surface in front of your TV or monitor. Ensure there are no obstructions in front of the speakers for optimal sound delivery.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press the POWER button on the remote control or the unit to turn the soundbar on or off.
2. Input Selection
Press the INPUT button on the remote control to cycle through available input sources (HDMI, Optical, Bluetooth).
3. Volume Control
Adjust the volume using the VOL + and VOL - buttons on the remote control.
4. Sound Modes
The SoundSlayer features various sound modes optimized for different content types. Press the SOUND MODE button to cycle through them, or use the dedicated buttons:
- STANDARD: General audio playback.
- MUSIC: Optimized for music listening.
- CINEMA: Enhanced for movie viewing.
- GAME: Specific modes for gaming:
- RPG (Role-Playing Game): Designed for immersive game worlds.
- FPS (First Person Shooter): Highlights directional audio cues like footsteps.
- VOICE: Enhances dialogue clarity in games.
- 3D SURROUND: Activates Dolby Atmos and DTS:X immersive audio.

5. Bluetooth Pairing
- Press the PAIRING button on the remote control. The Bluetooth indicator on the soundbar will flash.
- On your Bluetooth device, search for "SOUNDSLAYER" and select it to pair.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator will glow steadily.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your SoundSlayer soundbar, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the soundbar. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish.
- Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation openings on the soundbar are not blocked. Proper airflow prevents overheating.
- Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, disconnect it from the power outlet and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid Moisture: Do not expose the soundbar to water or excessive moisture.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your SoundSlayer soundbar, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
No Power
- Ensure the power cable is securely connected to the soundbar and the wall outlet.
- Verify the wall outlet is functioning by plugging in another device.
- Check if the power indicator light on the soundbar is illuminated.
No Sound or Low Volume
- Increase the volume on both the soundbar and your source device (TV, console, etc.).
- Ensure the correct input source is selected on the soundbar.

- If using Bluetooth, ensure the device is paired and connected, and its volume is up.
