Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the accordion from its packaging and the included carrying bag. Inspect the instrument for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping.
  2. Attaching Shoulder Straps:
    • Locate the two adjustable shoulder straps.
    • Attach the top ends of the straps to the metal rings located on the top rear of the accordion. Ensure they are securely fastened.
    • Attach the bottom ends of the straps to the metal rings located on the bottom rear of the accordion.
    • Adjust the length of the straps so that the accordion rests comfortably against your body, allowing your hands to reach the keyboard and bass buttons without strain. The accordion should be positioned slightly to the left of your center.
  3. Left Hand Bass Strap: Ensure the adjustable bass strap on the left side of the accordion is properly positioned for your left hand to comfortably operate the bass buttons.
  4. Initial Bellows Check: Before playing, gently open and close the bellows a few times without pressing any keys or buttons to ensure smooth movement and to allow the reeds to settle.
