Setup

1. Battery Installation

The Nicewell MQD-C023 scale requires 2 AAA batteries, which are included. To install or replace batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Initial Placement

For accurate measurements, always place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface before use.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

  • To power on, press the TARE/ON/OFF button. The display will show '0' or '0.0' when ready.
  • To power off, press and hold the TARE/ON/OFF button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The scale will also auto-off after 120 seconds of inactivity.

2. Unit Conversion

To change the measurement unit:

  • With the scale on, press the UNIT button repeatedly to cycle through the available units: g, kg, lb:oz, oz, ml.
  • The selected unit will be displayed on the screen.

3. Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to weigh items in a container by subtracting the container's weight:

  1. Place an empty container on the scale. The display will show its weight.
  2. Press the TARE/ON/OFF button. The display will reset to '0'.
  3. Add the ingredients to the container. The display will now show only the net weight of the ingredients.

4. Weighing Items

To weigh items directly:

  • Ensure the scale is on and displaying '0'.
  • Carefully place the item(s) to be weighed onto the center of the scale platform.
