Operating Instructions
Standard Key Functions
The ABKO K515 functions as a standard 104-key mechanical keyboard. All alphanumeric, symbol, and function keys operate as expected. The keyboard features a 1000Hz polling rate for rapid response times, beneficial for gaming.
RGB Lighting Control
The K515 keyboard features customizable RGB backlighting. Specific key combinations are used to adjust lighting effects:
- Fn + [Key]: Refer to the keyboard's keycap legends for specific lighting effect shortcuts. Common functions include changing lighting modes, adjusting brightness, and altering speed.
- Software Control: For advanced customization, including per-key lighting and macro programming, download the official ABKO software from the manufacturer's website.

Quick Swap Switch Functionality
The ABKO K515 is equipped with quick-swap switch sockets, allowing users to change individual mechanical switches without soldering. This feature enables customization of typing feel and sound.
- Switch Compatibility: The keyboard is designed for GTMX switches and features Cherry stabilizers. Ensure replacement switches are compatible with these specifications.
- Removing Switches: Use the provided switch puller. Carefully align the puller with the two clips on the top and bottom of the switch. Squeeze the clips and gently pull the switch upwards. Avoid excessive force to prevent damage to the switch or PCB.
- Installing Switches: Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Gently press the switch down until it clicks into place. Ensure the switch is seated firmly and evenly.
Note: Some users have reported that GTMX switches can be very tight and difficult to remove. Exercise caution and patience during switch replacement. If a switch is particularly stubborn, ensure the switch puller is correctly engaged with both clips before applying firm, even pressure.
English/Korean Keycaps
The keyboard features keycaps with both English and Korean legends. This allows for seamless typing in either language, depending on your operating system's language settings. Switching between input languages is typically managed through your computer's operating system settings (e.g., Windows: Alt+Shift or Ctrl+Shift; macOS: Cmd+Space).

Maintenance
Cleaning the Keyboard
- General Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe down the keycaps and frame. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
- Deep Cleaning (Keycaps): Use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps. Clean the keycaps with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow them to air dry completely before reattaching.
- Dust Removal: Use compressed air to blow out dust and debris from between the keycaps and switches.
Water Resistance
The ABKO K515 features a waterproof design, offering protection against accidental spills. While it is designed to resist water, it is not fully submersible. In case of a spill, immediately disconnect the keyboard from your computer, wipe off any liquid, and allow it to air dry completely before reconnecting.
Troubleshooting
- Keyboard Not Responding:
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
- Try connecting the keyboard to a different USB port on your computer.
- Test the keyboard on another computer to rule out system-specific issues.
- RGB Lighting Not Working or Incorrect:
- Check if the lighting is turned off or set to a very low brightness using the keyboard's Fn key combinations.
- If using ABKO software, ensure it is running and correctly configured.
- Disconnect and reconnect the keyboard.
- Keys Not Registering or Double-Typing:
- Clean the affected keycap and switch area for any debris.
- If the issue persists, the switch may be faulty. Utilize the quick-swap feature to replace the problematic switch.
