  2. Install the Stand (Optional): If using the scanner in presentation mode, assemble the stand and place the scanner securely into the cradle. The scanner will automatically detect when it is placed in the stand and switch to presentation mode (hands-free scanning) thanks to Motionix™ technology.
  3. Driver Installation: For most operating systems, the scanner will be recognized as a standard HID keyboard device, and drivers will install automatically. No additional software is typically required for basic operation.
  4. Test Connection: Open a text editor or any application that accepts keyboard input. Scan a known barcode. The barcode data should appear in the application.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your scanner.

  • Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the scanner's exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the scanner in a clean, dry environment away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
  • Cable Care: Avoid bending or twisting the USB cable excessively. Do not pull the cable to disconnect it; always grasp the connector.
