2.1 Key Features

3. Setup

3.1 Inserting the Micro SD Card

  1. Ensure the dash cam is powered off.
  2. Locate the Micro SD card slot on the device.
  3. Insert a Class 10 or higher Micro SD card (up to 32GB recommended) into the slot until it clicks into place.
  4. To remove, gently push the card in until it springs out.

3.2 Mounting the Dash CAM

  1. Clean the area on your windshield where you intend to mount the dash cam.
  2. Attach the adhesive mount to the dash cam.
  3. Remove the protective film from the adhesive pad.
  4. Press the dash cam firmly onto the chosen spot on your windshield, ensuring it does not obstruct your view.
  5. Adjust the camera lens angle to capture the road ahead.

3.3 Power Connection

  1. Connect the provided car charger to the dash cam's power input port.
  2. Plug the other end of the car charger into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket).
  3. Route the power cable neatly along the windshield trim to avoid interference with driving.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Automatic Recording

Once connected to power, the dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle starts. It will automatically power off and save the last recording when the vehicle is turned off.

4.2 Loop Recording

The dash cam records video in continuous loops (e.g., 1, 3, or 5-minute segments). When the Micro SD card is full, the oldest unlocked files will be overwritten by new recordings. This ensures continuous recording without manual intervention.

4.3 G-Sensor Function

The built-in G-Sensor detects sudden impacts or rapid deceleration/acceleration. When triggered, it automatically locks the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. The sensitivity of the G-Sensor can typically be adjusted in the settings (Low, Medium, High) to suit your preferences and driving conditions.

4.4 Motion Detection

When enabled, the dash cam will automatically start recording if it detects movement in its field of view while the vehicle is parked. This feature is useful for monitoring your vehicle when it's unattended. Ensure the dash cam has a continuous power supply for this feature to function effectively.

4.5 Wi-Fi Connectivity and App Usage

  1. Download the dedicated dash cam app (refer to the packaging or product information for the app name) from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Turn on the dash cam's Wi-Fi function (usually via a button or menu option on the device).
  3. On your smartphone, connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network (SSID and password typically displayed on the dash cam screen or in the manual).
  4. Open the app to view live footage, browse recorded videos, download files to your phone, and adjust settings.

4.6 Playback

Videos can be played back directly on the dash cam's LED screen, or more conveniently, by connecting to the dash cam via Wi-Fi using the smartphone app. Alternatively, you can remove the Micro SD card and view footage on a computer using a card reader.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Lens and Screen

Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the camera lens and LED screen. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surfaces.

5.2 Micro SD Card Management

It is recommended to format the Micro SD card periodically (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This can usually be done through the dash cam's settings menu or via the smartphone app. Back up any important files before formatting.

5.3 Environmental Considerations

Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or excessive humidity. These conditions can affect the device's lifespan and performance.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Dash cam does not power on:
    Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the car's 12V outlet. Check if the car's 12V outlet is functioning.
  • Dash cam stops recording or shows an error:
    Format the Micro SD card. If the issue persists, try a different Class 10 or higher Micro SD card. Ensure the card is not full of locked files.
  • Video footage is blurry or unclear:
    Clean the camera lens. Ensure the protective film has been removed from the lens. Check if the dash cam is securely mounted and not vibrating excessively.
  • Wi-Fi connection issues:
    Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on the dash cam. Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone. Make sure you are within close proximity to the dash cam.
  • G-Sensor is too sensitive/not sensitive enough:
    Adjust the G-Sensor sensitivity setting in the dash cam's menu or via the app.
