Top Panel Controls

- Power Button (⏻): Turns the sound bar on or off.

Setup
1. Placement
Place the sound bar on a flat, stable surface directly in front of your television. Ensure there are no obstructions in front of the sound bar that could block the sound or the remote control signal.
2. Connecting to Your TV
Choose one of the following connection methods:
Option A: Optical Cable (Recommended for best audio quality)
- Connect one end of the supplied optical cable to the OPTICAL OUT port on your TV.
- Connect the other end of the optical cable to the OPTICAL IN port on the sound bar.
- On your TV's audio settings, select "External Speaker" or "Optical" as the audio output.
Option B: AUX Cable (3.5mm)
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not always supplied, check box contents) to the AUDIO OUT (headphone jack) on your TV.
- Connect the other end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX IN port on the sound bar.
- On your TV's audio settings, select "Headphone" or "Analog Out" as the audio output.
3. Power Connection
- Connect the power cord to the POWER IN port on the sound bar.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a wall outlet.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- Press the Power button (⏻) on the sound bar or remote control to turn the unit on or off.
Selecting Input Source
- Press the Source Input button (⎌) on the sound bar or remote control repeatedly to cycle through available inputs: Optical, AUX, and Bluetooth.
- The LED indicator on the front of the sound bar will change color to indicate the selected input.
Adjusting Volume
- Press the Volume Up (+) or Volume Down (-) buttons on the sound bar or remote control to adjust the volume.
Bluetooth Pairing
- Press the Source Input button (⎌) until the sound bar is in Bluetooth mode (indicated by a specific LED color, refer to quick start guide for exact color).
- The sound bar will automatically enter pairing mode.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), search for "TCL Alto 3" in the Bluetooth settings.
- Select "TCL Alto 3" to connect. Once paired, the LED indicator will stop flashing and remain solid.
Specialized Sound Modes
The TCL Alto 3 features specialized sound modes to optimize your listening experience:
