Setup and Installation

The TM10NQ9GMA model features 1-inch Female NPT fittings for straightforward integration into your piping system. Proper installation is crucial for accurate readings and long-term performance.

Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare the Piping: Ensure the pipe section where the meter will be installed is clean and free of debris. The meter requires a straight run of pipe before and after for optimal accuracy.
  2. Orient the Meter: Observe the flow direction arrow on the meter body. Install the meter so that the arrow aligns with the direction of liquid flow in your system.
  3. Connect Fittings: Apply appropriate thread sealant (e.g., PTFE tape or pipe dope) to the 1-inch Male NPT threads of your piping. Carefully thread the meter onto the pipe fittings. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the PVC housing.
  4. Check for Leaks: Slowly pressurize the system and inspect all connections for leaks. Tighten as necessary.
  5. Battery Installation: The meter comes with two AAA alkaline batteries pre-installed. If replacement is needed, refer to the Maintenance section.
