1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the CUCKOO CRP-LHTR1009FW Induction Heating Twin Pressure Rice Cooker. This appliance is designed to provide versatile cooking options for various rice types and other dishes, ensuring optimal taste and texture. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure safe and efficient operation.

2. Important Safety Instructions

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons.

  • Read all instructions carefully before operating the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the main body in water or other liquid.

  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

4. Initial Setup

  1. Unpack the Rice Cooker: Carefully remove all packaging materials and place the rice cooker on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface.
  2. Clean Components: Before first use, wash the inner pot, rice spatula, and measuring cup with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.
  3. Install Inner Pot: Place the clean and dry inner pot into the main unit, ensuring it sits properly.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Rice Cooking

  1. Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One cup of uncooked rice typically yields two cups of cooked rice.
  2. Wash Rice: Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear.
  3. Add Water: Place the washed rice into the inner pot. Add water according to the water level markings inside the inner pot, corresponding to the number of rice cups. For example, for 3 cups of rice, fill water to the '3' mark. Adjust water level based on desired rice texture.
  4. Close Lid: Close the lid securely until it clicks into place.
  5. Select Cooking Mode: Use the control panel to select your desired rice type (e.g., White Rice, Multi-Grain, GABA Rice). The CRP-LHTR1009FW offers 16 versatile menu options.
  6. Choose Pressure Setting: This model features Twin Pressure technology. Select either High-Pressure for rich, sticky, and flavorful rice (ideal for mixed grains, beef stew, braised pork) or Non-Pressure for light, fluffy, and separate grains (ideal for sushi rice, porridge, noodles, pasta). Adjust the pressure knob on the lid accordingly.

  8. Start Cooking: Press the "Start" or "Cook" button. The cooker will begin the cooking process.
  9. Keep Warm: Once cooking is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to "Keep Warm" mode.

5.2 Advanced Cooking Modes

The CRP-LHTR1009FW offers a variety of specialized cooking modes:

  • GABA/Brown Rice: Optimized for germinated brown rice, enhancing nutritional value.
  • Veggie Rice: For cooking rice with vegetables.
  • Baby Food: Prepares soft, easily digestible food for infants.
  • High/Non-Pressure: As described above, choose based on desired texture.
  • Turbo Mode: For faster cooking of white rice, achieving perfect results in as little as 12 minutes.

  • Open Cooking: Allows for non-pressure cooking with the lid open, ideal for dishes like braised pork, clam chowder, or baby food where stirring or adding ingredients during cooking is required.

5.3 Voice Guide

The rice cooker features a voice guide system that provides audible instructions and status updates. You can select from three languages: English, Korean, or Chinese. Refer to the display settings to change the voice guide language.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your rice cooker.

6.1 Daily Cleaning

  • Inner Pot: After each use, remove the inner pot and wash it with warm, soapy water. The nonstick coating makes cleaning easy. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • Detachable Cover: The inner lid is detachable for easy cleaning. Simply remove it, wash with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry. Ensure the sealing ring is properly re-seated after cleaning.

  • Steam Vent: Check the steam vent for any food particles and clean if necessary.
  • Drain Dish: Empty and clean the drain dish (water collector) located at the back of the unit regularly to prevent odors and maintain hygiene.

  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main unit in water.

6.2 Auto Clean Function

The rice cooker features an "Auto Clean" function that uses steam to sterilize the inner pot and steam vent, ensuring thorough cleaning and preventing odors.

  • Fill the inner pot with water up to the "Auto Clean" marking.
  • Close the lid and select the "Auto Clean" mode from the menu.
  • Press the "Start" button. The cycle will run automatically.
  • Once complete, discard the water and wipe the inner pot and lid dry.

7. Troubleshooting
