1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Majority K2 Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your new audio system. The K2 is designed to enhance your home entertainment experience with powerful 150W stereo 2.1 channel sound, offering versatile connectivity options including HDMI ARC, Bluetooth, Optical, RCA, USB, and AUX.

2. Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions carefully before using this product and retain them for future reference. Incorrect operation due to disregard of instructions may cause damage.

  • Power Source: Only use the power cables supplied with the unit. Ensure the voltage matches the rating label on the unit.
  • Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings. Maintain a minimum distance of 10cm around the unit for sufficient ventilation.
  • Water and Moisture: Do not expose the unit to dripping or splashing water. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the unit.
  • Heat: Do not place the unit near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  • Cleaning: Clean only with a dry cloth.
  • Servicing: Do not attempt to service this product yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
  • Placement: Place the sound bar on a stable, flat surface. Avoid placing the subwoofer in enclosed spaces that may impede its wireless signal or airflow.

3. Product Overview

3.1 Sound Bar Components

The Majority K2 Sound Bar features a sleek design with integrated controls and various input ports for seamless connectivity.

3.2 Rear Panel Connections

The rear panel of the sound bar provides all necessary ports for connecting to your television and other audio sources.

  • HDMI (ARC): Connect to your TV's HDMI ARC port for high-quality digital audio and control.
  • SUB OUT: Output for wired subwoofer connection (not typically used with the included wireless subwoofer).
  • OPTICAL: Digital audio input for connecting to TVs or other devices with an optical output.
  • DC 12V: Power input for the sound bar.
  • FM ANT: Connection for the FM antenna (if applicable).
  • USB: For playing audio files from a USB drive.
  • AUX: 3.5mm analog audio input for connecting to devices with a headphone jack.

3.3 Wireless Subwoofer

The K2 includes a wireless subwoofer for enhanced bass response. It connects automatically to the sound bar.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Majority K2 Sound Bar system.

  1. Placement: Place the sound bar directly in front of your TV, centered. Position the wireless subwoofer in a suitable location within the room, ideally on the floor near a wall for optimal bass reflection.
  2. Connect Power:
    • Connect one power cable to the DC 12V input on the sound bar and plug it into a wall outlet.
    • Connect the second power cable to the power input on the wireless subwoofer and plug it into a wall outlet.
  3. Subwoofer Pairing: The wireless subwoofer should automatically pair with the sound bar when both are powered on. A blue indicator light on the subwoofer will confirm a successful connection. If pairing fails, refer to the Troubleshooting section.
  4. Connect to TV (Recommended HDMI ARC):
    • For best audio quality and control, connect an HDMI cable (not included) from the HDMI (ARC) port on the sound bar to the HDMI ARC port on your TV. Ensure your TV's HDMI ARC function is enabled in its settings.
    • Alternatively, use an Optical cable (not included) to connect the sound bar's OPTICAL input to your TV's optical output.
    • For older TVs, use the supplied RCA cable to connect the sound bar's AUX input to your TV's RCA audio output.
  5. Initial Power On: Press the Power button on the sound bar or the remote control to turn on the unit. Select the appropriate input mode (e.g., HDMI ARC, Optical) using the 'Mode' button on the sound bar or remote.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Remote Control Functions

The included remote control allows full command over your K2 Sound Bar system.

  • Power: Turns the unit on or off.
  • Mode: Cycles through input sources (HDMI ARC, Optical, Bluetooth, AUX, USB, FM).
  • Volume +/-: Adjusts the main volume level.
  • Mute: Mutes or unmutes the sound.
  • EQ: Cycles through preset equalizer modes (e.g., Music, Movie, News).
  • Bass +/-: Adjusts the bass level.
  • Treble +/-: Adjusts the treble level.
  • Play/Pause, Skip Tracks: For Bluetooth and USB modes.

5.2 Selecting Input Modes

Press the 'Mode' button on the remote or the sound bar to switch between available input sources:

  • HDMI ARC: For audio from a TV connected via HDMI ARC.
  • OPTICAL: For audio from a device connected via optical cable.
  • BLUETOOTH: For wireless audio streaming from a Bluetooth device.
  • AUX: For analog audio from a device connected via 3.5mm AUX cable.
  • USB: For playing audio files from a USB flash drive.
  • FM: For listening to FM radio stations.

6. Connectivity Options

6.1 HDMI ARC Connection

HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) allows audio to be sent from your TV to the sound bar using a single HDMI cable. It also enables control of the sound bar's volume with your TV remote.

  1. Connect an HDMI cable from the sound bar's HDMI (ARC) port to your TV's HDMI ARC port.
  2. Ensure HDMI ARC is enabled in your TV's audio settings.
  3. Select 'HDMI ARC' mode on the sound bar.

6.2 Optical Connection

The optical connection provides high-quality digital audio from your TV or other devices.

  1. Connect an optical cable from the sound bar's OPTICAL input to your TV's optical audio output.
  2. Select 'OPTICAL' mode on the sound bar.

6.3 Bluetooth Connection

Stream audio wirelessly from your Bluetooth-enabled devices.

  1. Select 'BLUETOOTH' mode on the sound bar. The display will show 'BT' and flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), search for Bluetooth devices and select 'Majority K2'.
  3. Once connected, the 'BT' indicator will stop flashing. You can now play audio from your device.

6.4 AUX Connection

Connect devices with a 3.5mm audio output.

  1. Connect the supplied AUX cable from the sound bar's AUX input to the headphone jack or audio output of your device.
  2. Select 'AUX' mode on the sound bar.

6.5 USB Playback

Play audio files directly from a USB flash drive.

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port on the sound bar.
  2. Select 'USB' mode on the sound bar. The sound bar will automatically begin playing compatible audio files.
  3. Use the remote control to navigate tracks (Play/Pause, Next, Previous).

7. Maintenance

Proper care ensures the longevity of your K2 Sound Bar system.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the sound bar and subwoofer. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation openings on the sound bar and subwoofer are not obstructed.
  • Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, disconnect it from the power supply and store it in a cool, dry place.
  • Avoid Extreme Conditions: Do not expose the unit to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.

If you encounter issues with your K2 Sound Bar, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
