6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.

6.1 Cleaning

  • Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure no water enters the interior of the heater.
  • Periodically vacuum the air intake and exhaust grilles to remove dust and lint.

6.2 Storage

  • If storing the heater for an extended period, clean it thoroughly and store it in a cool, dry place.
  • It is recommended to store the heater in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.

7. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your heater.

  • Heater does not turn on:
Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check if the circuit breaker has tripped. Verify the power button has been pressed.
  • Heater turns off unexpectedly:
The overheat protection may have activated. Unplug the heater, allow it to cool for at least 10-15 minutes, then plug it back in. Ensure air intakes and exhausts are not blocked.
  • Heater does not resume operation after power loss:
The heater does not automatically restart after a power outage. It will remain off until manually turned on. If used in an area requiring continuous heat (e.g., to prevent pipes from freezing), this heater may not be suitable as it requires manual intervention after power interruption.
  • Inaccurate temperature readings or inconsistent heating:
The internal thermostat may be affected by the heat generated by the unit itself, leading to a discrepancy between the displayed temperature and the actual room temperature. It may be necessary to set the desired temperature higher than the actual target temperature to achieve the desired warmth. The heater may also have a differential, meaning it will only activate when the room temperature drops several degrees below the set point.
  • Remote control not working:
Check the batteries in the remote control and replace them if necessary. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the heater's receiver.
