4. Operating Instructions

The HOWAY DH-M10 operates passively, absorbing moisture from the air without requiring power during its dehumidifying cycle.

Moisture Absorption Process:

The dehumidifier contains silica gel beads that naturally absorb humidity. As moisture is absorbed, the beads change color, indicating their saturation level.

Moisture Indicator Window:

The unit features a clear indicator window on the front. Observe the color of the beads within this window:

  • Blue: The dehumidifier is dry and actively absorbing moisture.
  • Pink/Purple: The dehumidifier has absorbed its maximum capacity of moisture and needs to be recharged.

When to Recharge:

The dehumidifier typically operates for 10-20 days before needing a recharge, depending on the ambient humidity levels. When the beads in the indicator window turn pink, it is time to recharge the unit.

5. Maintenance (Recharging)

Recharging restores the dehumidifier's moisture-absorbing capacity. This process typically takes 12-15 hours.

Recharging Steps:

  1. Locate the charging port on the rear of the dehumidifier.
  2. Connect the provided power cord to the charging port.
  3. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  4. Ensure the unit is standing upright as shown in the image below, and that no holes are blocked during charging.
  5. Allow the unit to charge for 12-15 hours, or until the silica gel beads in the indicator window turn completely blue.
  6. Once recharged, unplug the unit and store the power cord. The dehumidifier is now ready for reuse.
