3. Setup
3.1 Installing the Scanner on a Smartphone
- Ensure your smartphone is between 5.4 and 6.5 inches in length.
- Remove any protective case from your smartphone.
- Align the scanner with the back of your phone.
- Gently push the phone into the scanner's retractable clip until it is securely fastened.
3.2 Removing the Scanner from a Smartphone
- Hold the phone and scanner firmly.
- Pull the scanner's retractable clip downwards to release the phone.
- Carefully slide the phone out of the clip.

3.3 Bluetooth Pairing
- Power on the Eyoyo EY-017P scanner.
- Enable Bluetooth on your host device (smartphone, tablet, PC).
- Search for available Bluetooth devices. The scanner should appear as "Eyoyo Barcode Scanner" or similar.
- Select the scanner from the list to pair. A successful connection will be indicated by a specific sound or LED light on the scanner.
- For some devices, you may need to configure the virtual keyboard settings after pairing to ensure proper data input.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Scanning Modes
The Eyoyo EY-017P scanner can be used in two primary modes:
- Back-Clip Mode: Attached to a smartphone, allowing for integrated scanning and data display on the phone screen.
- Standalone Bluetooth Mode: Used independently, connecting wirelessly to a host device for data transmission.

4.2 Using the Scanning Buttons
The scanner features three scanning buttons for ergonomic use in various positions:
- Left Scanning Button: Located on the left side for left-hand operation.
- Right Scanning Button: Located on the right side for right-hand operation.
- Middle Scanning Button: Centrally located for general use.
To scan a barcode, point the scanner's window at the barcode and press any of the scanning buttons. The scanner will emit a light beam to read the barcode. A successful scan is typically indicated by an audible beep and/or a visual confirmation.

5. Charging and Battery
The Eyoyo EY-017P scanner is equipped with a rechargeable 1600mAh Lithium-ion battery.
