4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your iGen300s. The unit can be charged using one of three methods:

• AC Wall Charger: Connect the included AC adapter to a standard wall outlet. Charging time is approximately 5 hours.
• 12V Car Charger: Connect the included car charger to your vehicle's 12V DC outlet. Charging time is approximately 5-7 hours.
• Solar Panel (Optional): Connect a compatible solar panel (not included) to the DC input port. Charging time is approximately 5-7 hours, depending on sunlight intensity.

4.2 Connecting Devices

The iGen300s offers a variety of output ports to connect your devices.

• AC Outlets: Two 120V household outlets for devices requiring up to 300 continuous watts (600 peak watts).
• USB Ports: Three USB ports, including USB-C and Quick Charge 3.0, for charging smartphones, tablets, and other USB-powered devices.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

To power on the unit, press and hold the main power button until the LED display illuminates. To power off, press and hold the button again.

5.2 Using AC Outlets

Press the AC button to activate the 120V AC outlets. The LED display will show 'AC' and the current wattage output. Ensure your device's power requirements do not exceed 300W continuous or 600W peak.

5.3 Using USB and DC Ports

USB and DC ports are typically active when the unit is powered on. The LED display will indicate 'USB' or 'DC' and their respective wattage outputs when in use.

5.4 LED Display Information

The LED display provides crucial information at a glance:

• Battery Capacity: Shows the remaining battery charge level.
• Power Output: Displays total AC, DC, and USB power output in watts.
• Charging Input: Shows the current charging input in watts.
• Warnings: Indicates temperature overload or equipment failure.

5.5 Integrated Flashlight

The iGen300s includes a tri-mode flashlight for convenience in low-light conditions. Press the flashlight button to cycle through its modes (On, SOS, Strobe) and to turn it off.

7. Limitations

The Westinghouse iGen300s is designed for portable power needs but has limitations on continuous output. It will not support continuous output over 300W.

Avoid connecting appliances such as sump pumps, toasters, heaters, hair dryers, corded drills, electric kettles, microwaves, coffee makers, and blenders, as these typically exceed the unit's continuous output capacity.

The iGen300s utilizes lithium-ion batteries, providing long-lasting, maintenance-free power. To ensure optimal performance and longevity:

• Store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Recharge the unit at least once every 3-6 months if not in regular use to prevent deep discharge.
