Setup and Installation

Operating Instructions

Lighting the Pilot:

1. Ensure the gas supply valve is open.
2. Turn the control knob to the "PILOT" setting.
3. Press and hold the control knob down.
4. While holding the knob, repeatedly press the electronic igniter button until the pilot flame ignites.
5. Continue to hold the control knob down for 30-60 seconds after ignition to allow the thermocouple to heat up. Release the knob; the pilot should remain lit. If not, repeat steps 3-5.

Operating the Main Burner:

1. Once the pilot is lit, slowly turn the control knob from "PILOT" to the desired heat setting (1-5).
2. The main burner will ignite. The flame size will adjust based on the thermostat setting.
3. To turn off the main burner, turn the control knob to the "PILOT" position. The pilot will remain lit.
4. To completely turn off the heater, turn the control knob to the "OFF" position.

Thermostat Operation:

The built-in thermostat modulates the flame size as the room temperature approaches the set point. When the set temperature is reached, the main burner will turn off, leaving only the pilot lit. The burner will automatically reignite when the room temperature drops below the set point. Settings 1-5 correspond to increasing temperatures. The "HI" setting will keep the burner continuously on.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures safe and efficient operation of your heater. Always turn off the gas supply and allow the heater to cool completely before performing any maintenance.

Cleaning:

• Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Burner and Pilot: Periodically inspect the burner and pilot assembly for dust, lint, or debris. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to gently remove any obstructions.
