Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for safe and correct installation of your Saxby Orbital PRO downlight.

  1. Preparation:
    • Switch off the mains electricity supply at the consumer unit/fuse box.
    • Ensure the installation area is clear of obstructions and existing wiring.
    • Determine the desired location for the downlight.
  2. Cut-out:

Using a suitable hole saw, cut a circular hole in the ceiling with a diameter of 97mm. Ensure the hole is clean and free of debris.

  3. Wiring:
    • Connect the mains supply cable to the provided Eaglerise LED driver. Ensure correct polarity: Live (L), Neutral (N), and Earth (E) if applicable.
    • The downlight unit is pre-wired to the driver. Do not attempt to disconnect or modify this connection.
    • Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.
  4. Colour Temperature Selection (Pre-installation):

Before inserting the downlight into the ceiling, locate the small switch on the side of the downlight unit or driver. This switch allows you to select the desired colour temperature: 3000K (Warm White), 4000K (Cool White), or 6000K (Daylight White). Set this to your preferred option before final installation.
