Setup
1. Prepare the Surface
Ensure the surface where you plan to install the light strip is clean, dry, and smooth. Dust, dirt, or uneven surfaces can affect the adhesive's effectiveness.
2. Install the Light Strip
The light strip features an adhesive backing for easy installation. Carefully peel off the protective film from the adhesive strip and press the light strip firmly onto the desired surface. Apply even pressure along the entire length to ensure good adhesion.

3. Cutting the Light Strip (Optional)
If the 13 ft length is too long for your application, the light strip can be cut shorter. Look for the designated cutting marks (usually indicated by a scissor icon or copper pads) along the strip. Cut only at these marks to avoid damaging the circuit. Note: Once cut, the removed section cannot be re-attached or used.

4. Connect to Power
Connect the light strip to the control box, and then connect the control box to the power adapter. Plug the power adapter into a standard wall outlet.
5. Pairing with a Smart Hub
The innr Light Strip requires a compatible Zigbee smart hub (e.g., Philips Hue*, SmartThings, or Alexa devices with a built-in smart hub) for smart control. Follow the instructions for your specific smart hub to add a new light device.
*Note: Does not work with Apple HomeKit, Hue Entertainment, or Hue Secure.

General Pairing Steps:
- Turn the innr light strip on. It should double blink, indicating it is ready to be paired.
- Open your smart hub's app (e.g., Philips Hue app).
- Navigate to the "Light setup" or "Add device" section.
- Initiate the search for new lights/devices.
- Once the hub starts searching, turn the innr light strip off and then on again. The light strip should blink a third time to confirm successful pairing.
- The new light strip should now appear in your smart hub's app.
Operating the Light Strip
Once paired with your smart hub, you can control the innr Light Strip using your smart home app or voice commands.
Color and Brightness Control
The light strip offers 16 million colors and is suitable for deep dimming. Use your smart home app to select your desired color, adjust brightness, and set color temperature (e.g., from warm white to cool daylight).

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the light strip with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Adhesive: If the adhesive begins to lose its stickiness over time, you may reinforce it with additional double-sided tape suitable for the surface.
- Storage: If storing the light strip for an extended period, ensure it is clean, dry, and coiled loosely to prevent damage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light strip does not turn on. | No power; loose connection; faulty power adapter. | Check power outlet, ensure all connections are secure. Test with another outlet if possible. |
| Cannot pair with smart hub. | Light strip not in pairing mode; hub out of range; incompatible hub. | Ensure light strip blinks twice when turned on. Move hub closer. Verify hub compatibility (Zigbee). Try turning the light strip off/on again during hub search. |
| Light strip loses connection frequently. | Interference; weak Zigbee signal; too many devices on network. | Reduce interference from other wireless devices. Consider adding a Zigbee repeater. Ensure light strip is within range of the hub. |
| Colors are inaccurate or inconsistent. | Software glitch; specific color limitations. | Restart the light strip and the smart hub. Some colors may appear differently depending on the surface they are illuminating. |
| Adhesive is not holding. | Surface not clean/smooth; old adhesive. | Clean and dry the surface thoroughly. Use additional strong double-sided tape to reinforce. |
