1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the LEDLUX CL6611W Infrared Motion Sensor. This device is designed to detect motion and presence using infrared technology, integrating a twilight sensor for efficient operation. Its robust IP65 waterproof rating makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, offering flexible installation options on walls or ceilings.
This manual provides essential information for the safe installation, setup, and operation of your motion sensor. Please read it thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.
2. Safety Information
- Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local wiring regulations.
- Ensure the power supply is disconnected before installation or maintenance to prevent electric shock.
- Do not exceed the specified maximum load for halogen (1200W) or LED (600W) lighting.
- The product is IP65 rated for water and dust resistance; however, ensure all connections are properly sealed during installation.
- Do not disassemble or modify the sensor. Unauthorized modifications may void the warranty and pose safety risks.
3. Product Overview
The LEDLUX CL6611W features an adjustable head for optimal detection coverage and integrated controls for customization.

Figure 2: Detailed dimensions of the infrared motion sensor, showing measurements of 76mm, 62.5mm, and 92mm.

Figure 3: The sensor is rated IP65, indicating high resistance to water and dust, making it suitable for outdoor use.
4. Installation
4.1 Mounting Location
- The sensor can be mounted on a wall or ceiling. The adjustable head allows for flexible positioning.
- Recommended installation height is between 1.8 and 2.5 meters for optimal detection range.
- Avoid mounting near heat sources (e.g., air conditioning vents, heaters) or in direct sunlight, as this may affect sensor performance.
- Ensure the detection area is clear of obstructions.

4.2 Wiring
The sensor operates on a 220V power supply. Connect the live, neutral, and load wires according to the wiring diagram provided with the product packaging. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.
5. Setup and Configuration
The CL6611W sensor features adjustable settings to customize its operation:
- Time Delay (TIME): This knob adjusts how long the connected light remains on after motion is no longer detected. Settings typically range from a minimum of 10 seconds (±3 seconds) to a maximum of 15 minutes (±2 minutes).
- Light Intensity Range (LUX): This knob sets the ambient light level at which the sensor will activate. For example, setting it to a low LUX value (e.g., <3 LUX) means the sensor will only activate in very dark conditions, while a high LUX value (e.g., 2000 LUX) means it will activate in all light conditions.
Adjust these settings using a small screwdriver or the provided tool, turning the knobs to your desired levels. Test the settings to ensure they meet your requirements.
6. Operating Instructions
Once installed and configured, the LEDLUX CL6611W sensor will automatically detect motion within its specified range. When motion is detected and the ambient light level is below the set LUX threshold, the connected lighting will turn on. The light will remain on for the duration set by the TIME delay knob, resetting the timer with each new motion detection. After the set time delay and no further motion, the light will turn off.
- Detection Angle: The sensor offers a detection angle of 180 degrees when wall-mounted and 360 degrees when ceiling-mounted, depending on the adjustable head's position.
- Detection Distance: The maximum detection distance is up to 12 meters (at temperatures below 24°C).
7. Maintenance
The LEDLUX CL6611W motion sensor requires minimal maintenance. To ensure optimal performance:
- Periodically clean the sensor lens with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust or dirt that may obstruct detection.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the sensor's surface.
- Regularly check for any loose wiring or damage to the casing, especially in outdoor installations.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on when motion is detected. | No power; LUX setting too high (sensor thinks it's daytime); faulty wiring; bulb failure. | Check power supply; adjust LUX setting to a lower value; inspect wiring; replace bulb. |
| Light stays on continuously. | Constant motion in detection area; TIME setting too long; faulty sensor. | Clear detection area; reduce TIME setting; if problem persists, sensor may be faulty. |
| Sensor detects motion intermittently or poorly. | Obstructions in detection path; incorrect installation height; temperature fluctuations; dirty lens. | Remove obstructions; verify installation height (1.8-2.5m); clean sensor lens. |
