2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow these basic safety precautions:

• Read all instructions before using the appliance.
• Do not operate the humidifier if the cord or plug is damaged.
• Place the humidifier on a firm, flat, water-resistant surface at least 12 inches (30 cm) away from walls and appliances.
• Do not place the humidifier directly on carpet or a towel.
• Always unplug the humidifier before filling, cleaning, or moving it.
• Do not immerse the base unit in water or other liquids.
• Use only clean, cool tap water. Distilled or demineralized water is recommended to prevent mineral buildup.

4. Setup

Follow these steps for initial setup:

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and place the humidifier on a flat, stable surface.
2. Fill Water Tank: Remove the water tank from the base. Unscrew the cap at the bottom of the tank and fill it with clean, cool tap water. Distilled or demineralized water is recommended to prevent mineral buildup. Do not fill past the maximum fill line. Securely replace the cap.

3. Place Tank: Carefully place the filled water tank back onto the base unit, ensuring it is seated correctly.

5. Operating Instructions

Operating your humidifier is straightforward:

1. Power On/Off: Press the power button on the control panel to turn the humidifier on or off. The indicator light will illuminate when on.
2. Adjust Mist Level: Use the mist level button to cycle through different mist output settings (e.g., low, medium, high).
3. Set Timer: Press the timer button to set an operating duration (e.g., 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours). The humidifier will automatically turn off after the selected time.
4. Aroma Diffusion: To use essential oils, open the aroma diffuser compartment (the small green bottle holder). Add a few drops of essential oil to a cotton pad (not included) and place it inside the compartment. Close the compartment. Do not add essential oils directly into the water tank.

6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning is essential for optimal performance and hygiene:

• Daily Maintenance: Empty the water tank and base unit daily. Rinse the tank and base with fresh water.
• Weekly Cleaning:
  1. Unplug the humidifier.
  2. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
  3. Pour 1 cup of white vinegar into the water tank and base unit. Let it soak for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Use a soft brush or cloth to clean the inside of the tank and the ultrasonic transducer in the base.
  5. Rinse thoroughly with clean water until the vinegar smell is gone.
  6. Wipe all surfaces dry before reassembling.
• Storage: If storing the humidifier for an extended period, ensure it is completely clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place.
