2. Safety Information

- Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
- Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
- Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.

- Do not use without dust bag and/or filters in place.
- Turn off all controls before unplugging.
- Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
- Do not use to pick up hard or sharp objects such as glass, nails, screws, coins, etc., as this may damage the appliance.
- Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the appliance.
- Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer.

5. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your Deerma VC20 PLUS vacuum cleaner:
- Charging the Battery: Before first use, fully charge the vacuum cleaner. Connect the power adapter to the charging port on the main unit and plug it into a wall outlet. The charging indicator light will show the charging status. A full charge provides approximately 30 minutes of runtime.
- Assembling the Stick Vacuum:
- Insert the extension tube into the main vacuum unit until it clicks securely into place.
- Attach the floor brush head to the other end of the extension tube, ensuring it clicks securely.
- Assembling the Handheld Vacuum:
- For handheld use, detach the extension tube and floor brush.
- Directly attach the 2-in-1 crevice tool or the small brush head to the main vacuum unit until it clicks.

6. Operating Instructions
Your Deerma VC20 PLUS offers two operating modes for efficient cleaning.
- Power On/Off: Press the power button on the main unit to turn the vacuum cleaner on. Press it again to turn it off.
- Switching Modes: The vacuum features two suction modes. Press the power button once for standard mode, and press it again for maximum suction mode. The indicator light may change to reflect the selected mode.
- Using the Floor Brush: For large areas like floors and carpets, use the floor brush head. Its flexible design allows for easy maneuverability under furniture. The anti-winding comb structure helps prevent hair entanglement on the roller brush.
- Using Attachments: For specific cleaning tasks:
- Use the 2-in-1 crevice tool for tight spaces, corners, and edges.
- Use the small brush head for dusting delicate surfaces, upholstery, or car interiors.
- Cleaning High Areas: The lightweight design and various attachments make it suitable for cleaning high-up areas like air vents or ceiling corners.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your vacuum cleaner.
- Emptying the Dust Cup:
- When the dust cup is full, or suction power decreases, empty it.
- Press the dust cup release button and detach the dust cup from the main unit.
- Open the dust cup lid and empty the contents into a trash bin.
- Reattach the dust cup securely.
- Cleaning the Filters:
- The vacuum features a microcellular cyclone tower and a HEPA filter. These should be cleaned regularly to maintain suction.
- Remove the filters from the dust cup.
- Tap the filters gently to remove loose dust. For thorough cleaning, rinse them under running water.
- Ensure filters are completely dry before reinserting them into the dust cup. Do not use the vacuum with wet filters.
- Cleaning the Roller Brush:
- Periodically check the roller brush in the floor head for tangled hair or debris.
- Remove the roller brush cover (refer to the diagram on the floor brush for release mechanism).
- Carefully remove any tangled hair or fibers from the roller brush. The anti-winding comb structure minimizes this, but occasional cleaning may still be necessary.
- Reinsert the roller brush and secure its cover.

8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Deerma VC20 PLUS, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
