Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Align the battery pack with the grooves on the back of the radio.
  2. Slide the battery pack upwards until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, press the battery release latch and slide the battery downwards.

2. Antenna Installation

  1. Screw the antenna clockwise into the connector on the top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

3. Charging the Battery

  1. Insert the AC adapter into a power outlet.
  2. Place the radio (with battery installed) or the battery alone into the charging tray.
  3. The indicator light on the charger will show charging status (typically red for charging, green for fully charged).
  4. A full charge typically takes several hours.

Power On/Off and Volume Control

Channel Selection and Dual Band Operation

VOX Function (Voice Operated Transmit)

VOX allows transmission without pressing the PTT button. The radio will transmit automatically when it detects your voice.

Keyboard Lock

The keyboard lock prevents accidental key presses.

Emergency Alarm Function

In an emergency, the alarm function can be activated to alert others.

LED Flashlight

The built-in LED flashlight provides convenient illumination.

50 CTCSS (Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System) and 104 DCS (Digitally Coded Squelch) tones are available to filter out unwanted signals and ensure private communication.
