1. Introduction

The ThermoPro TP49 Digital Hygrometer Indoor Thermometer is designed to provide accurate and reliable measurements of indoor temperature and humidity. This compact device helps you monitor your environment to ensure optimal comfort and conditions for various spaces, including living rooms, baby rooms, kitchens, greenhouses, and cellars.

3. Setup

1. Battery Installation: The device requires 1 AAA battery (included). Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit, insert the battery according to the polarity markings (+/-), and close the cover.
2. Power On: The device will automatically power on once the battery is installed.
3. Temperature Unit Selection: On the back of the unit, locate the °F/°C button. Press this button to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius display modes.

4. Operating Instructions

The ThermoPro TP49 provides real-time temperature and humidity readings on its clear LCD display. The readings refresh every 10 seconds to ensure you have the most current data.

Reading the Display

• The upper large number indicates the current temperature.
• The lower large number indicates the current humidity percentage.

Comfort Level Indicator

The device includes a face icon to visually represent the comfort level based on humidity and temperature:

• DRY (Sad Face): Humidity is less than 30%.
• COMFORT (Smiling Face): Humidity is between 30% and 60% AND temperature is between 68°F and 79°F (20°C and 26°C).
• WET (Sad Face): Humidity is greater than 60%.

5. Placement Options

The ThermoPro TP49 offers three convenient ways to place the device:

• Tabletop Stand: Utilize the integrated foldable stand on the back to place the unit on any flat surface, such as a table, desk, or counter.
• Magnetic Back: The device features a magnetic back, allowing it to be easily attached to metallic surfaces like refrigerators.
• Hanging Mount: A small hole on the back enables you to hang the unit on a wall using a nail or hook.

6. Battery Information

The ThermoPro TP49 is powered by one AAA alkaline battery. The ultra-low power consumption design ensures a long battery life, typically lasting 18-24 months.

8. Troubleshooting

• No Display: Ensure the AAA battery is correctly installed with the correct polarity. If the issue persists, replace the battery.
• Inaccurate Readings: Allow the unit to stabilize for at least 30 minutes after initial setup or relocation. Ensure the device is not placed near heat sources, direct sunlight, or areas with extreme drafts, which can affect accuracy.
• Slow Response: The device has a 10-second refresh rate. If readings appear stagnant for longer periods, try replacing the battery.
